Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has been pivotal in Marriott International, Inc.’s groundbreaking foray into India’s luxury residential sector. The firm’s involvement spans several critical aspects of this landmark project, which marks Marriott’s inaugural Westin Residences in the country.
CAM’s role encompassed the development of a sales framework and the management of communal spaces for real estate ventures, particularly focusing on projects in Haryana. Their expertise extended to thorough land title investigations and ongoing advisory on project structuring. Additionally, CAM crafted and negotiated complex transaction documents for the licensing and management of trademarks in relation to this new residential endeavor.
Set to become Marriott’s largest branded residence in India, this project stands out as the first to operate independently of a hotel, reflecting Marriott’s innovative strategy for the Indian market. The development is spearheaded by Whiteland Corporation Private Limited and will be managed by Marriott upon completion.
The Real Estate team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas led this initiative, with key contributions from Ashish Jain, Devinder Kumar, Shorya Choudhary, Siddharth Iyer, Rohan Chugh, Yash Jain, and Shubham Mittal. The deal, signed on July 4, 2024, also involved Whiteland Corporation Private Limited as a principal counterparty.
