The story
The Delhi High Court has two new additions to its bench. Judicial officers Renu Bhatnagar and Rajneesh Kumar Gupta have been appointed as judges, following approval from the Supreme Court Collegium earlier this month.
The Ministry of Law and Justice confirmed the appointments in an official notification dated February 19, stating that both judges would assume office from the date they take charge. The Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, had cleared their elevation on February 5.
With these appointments, the Delhi High Court sees an expansion in its judicial strength, reinforcing the bench to handle its growing caseload.
