This September, the capital will once again transform into the nerve centre of the arbitration world as the Delhi Arbitration Weekend (DAW) returns for its third chapter, running from 18–21 September 2025.
Hosted by the Delhi International Arbitration Centre under the wing of the Delhi High Court, DAW 2025 is not just a fixture on the legal calendar—it’s a statement of intent. With heavyweight participation from the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), the event signals India’s growing influence in the Asia-Pacific arbitration arena.
The opening ceremony will see Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai as Chief Guest, alongside Stephen Gageler AC, Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, delivering the keynote address.
Over four days, the programme will dive into pressing themes—from dissecting what makes an arbitral award truly enforceable, to tackling environmental issues in investor–state disputes, exploring the role of AI in arbitration, rethinking the “seat” of arbitration in India, and navigating dispute resolution in turbulent global times.
Panel debates, breakout sessions, and high-level networking will give participants a 360-degree view of where arbitration stands today—and where it’s heading next. For India, DAW 2025 is more than a conference; it’s a declaration that the country intends to be a serious contender on the global dispute resolution stage.
