Madhya Pradesh High Court Allows Fresh Voice Sample In Bribery Investigation

The Madhya Pradesh High Court on 23 October 2026 rejected Sanjay Sisodiya’s challenge to further investigation and a fresh voice sample in a bribery case.

Judge / Bench — Anand Pathak and Deepak Khot, JJ.; order by Deepak Khot, J.

In W.P. 34200/2026 (2026:MPHC-JBP:85170), the Court upheld refusal to accept a closure report. An inconclusive forensic comparison did not end the inquiry where the sample was insufficient or disguised and other material warranted investigation. Taking a voice sample did not violate Article 20(3). The petition was dismissed; the assessment was not a finding of guilt.

Advocates appearing — Petitioner: Anil Khare, Senior Advocate, with Priyank Agrawal; respondent State: Abhinav Shrivastava; respondent 2: Not named in the order.
