Supreme Court Mandates Anonymous NEET UG 2024 Results Publication by NTA

In a decisive move, the Supreme Court has ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to publish the NEET UG 2024 results for all examinees, categorized by city and center, while ensuring the anonymity of the students. This directive came from a three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Misra. The NTA has been instructed to complete this task by Saturday noon.

This action follows petitions calling for the cancellation of the NEET UG 2024 exam due to allegations of a paper leak, irregularities, and the controversial awarding of grace marks for ‘loss of time’. In a previous session, the Court had asked the Central Government and NTA to consider whether the government’s cyber forensics unit could employ data analytics to identify and separate suspicious cases from those that are legitimate.

The Court will reconvene on this matter on July 22, 2024.
