Ameet Datta, a well-respected figure in the Intellectual Property and Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) legal space, is stepping into a new chapter with the launch of ADP Law Offices. After nearly 13 years at Sai Krishna & Associates, where he served as Senior Partner, Datta is forging ahead with a fresh vision and a team of seasoned professionals.
Speaking about his decision, Datta shared his enthusiasm for the road ahead, emphasizing the immense potential of India’s evolving TMT landscape. “I wanted to play a more active role in shaping legal and regulatory frameworks in these dynamic sectors,” he said. While parting ways with Sai Krishna, he expressed gratitude for his time at the firm and highlighted his continued camaraderie with his former colleagues.
ADP Law Offices will begin operations with a team of 12 lawyers, all previously associated with Sai Krishna & Associates. The transition, Datta noted, was smooth, with all members departing amicably.
With close to 25 years of experience, Datta has built a formidable reputation in intellectual property law, technology regulations, data privacy, and compliance. His influence extends to policy development, and in 2010, he was invited to provide expert testimony before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on major copyright law reforms.
Datta’s legal journey began with a law degree from Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya in Jabalpur. His career took off at Anand & Anand, followed by a Partner role at Luthra & Luthra before his tenure at Sai Krishna. Now, with ADP Law Offices, he embarks on a new mission—shaping the future of TMT law in India.
