In a significant move within the real estate sector, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) provided legal counsel to the Bharti group entities (the “Sellers”) on their proposed divestment of a 50% stake in Rostrum Realty Private Limited (“Rostrum”) to Brookfield India Real Estate Trust (“Brookfield REIT”). The deal involves an exchange for preferential units of Brookfield REIT issued to the Sellers.
Rostrum Realty’s notable assets include the Worldmark complexes at Aerocity in New Delhi, Airtel Center in North Gurugram, and Worldmark Gurugram.

They were bolstered by the expertise of Principal Associates Neham Tayal and Rudraksh Durrani, Senior Associate Shreya Teewari, and Associates Aparajita Marwah and Devarshi Mohan. Strategic oversight was provided by L. Viswanathan, Partner and Chair of Finance, Projects & Insolvency.
On the REIT advisory front, Partner Kranti Mohan and Janhavi Manohar led the efforts. Taxation aspects were handled by Partner SR Patnaik with the assistance of Principal Associate Thangadurai V.P.
