The accused, Uday Pal Singh, found himself in the clutches of legal censure after disseminating a contentious video on social media platforms, alleging egregious misconduct on the part of the judges presiding over the Delhi High Court.
A discerning Division Bench, comprised of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Manoj Jain, meticulously scrutinized the incendiary video presentation, wherein Singh levied damning accusations, impugning the integrity of the judicial machinery. Consequent to their meticulous examination, the Bench unequivocally affirmed that Singh’s vituperative discourse egregiously undermined the sanctity and decorum of the esteemed institution of justice.
“The aforenoted expression and the video posted by him in (sic) social media shows that the respondent has made contemptuous allegations against the Judges of this Court and has thereby lowered the dignity of the justice delivery system. Accordingly, we hereby hold him guilty under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971,” the august Court decreed, articulating its condemnation of Singh’s flagrant transgressions.
This judicial censure transpired within the context of a contentious legal imbroglio involving Sudha Prasad and Uday Pal Singh, embroiled in protracted litigation over a parcel of land spanning approximately two bighas in the New Ashok Nagar locality.
