The Supreme Court Collegium has proposed the elevation of two judicial officers to serve as judges in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. This recommendation emerged from the Collegium’s meeting held on January 11.
The two judicial officers named for the roles are:
- Avadhanam Hari Haranadha Sarma
- Dr. Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao
The High Court, with a sanctioned strength of 37 judges, is currently operating with only 26 members, leaving a significant gap in its roster. These new appointments aim to address the shortfall and reinforce the judiciary in the state.
