Ranveer Allahabadia’s Show Gets Green Light—With a Catch

YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia can return to hosting his show, but only under strict guidelines. The Supreme Court has lifted the ban that had previously prevented him and his associates from broadcasting on YouTube or any other media platform following the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. However, the decision comes with a condition—he must uphold standards of decency and morality, ensuring his content remains appropriate for all audiences.

The restriction was initially imposed on February 18, 2025, but a Supreme Court bench has now permitted Allahabadia to resume his broadcasts, provided he formally commits to maintaining responsible content standards. This ruling follows the Court’s earlier decision to grant him interim protection from arrest in multiple FIRs filed across Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Assam.

The complaints stem from allegations of obscenity related to his remarks on India’s Got Latent, with charges citing various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act, the Cinematograph Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

While Allahabadia is now free to continue his digital presence, the ruling underscores a clear warning—crossing the line again could bring fresh legal trouble.
