In a fiercely contested election, Advocate Sartej Singh Narula emerged victorious as the new President of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association (PHCBA). With 1,781 votes, he outpaced his closest competitor by 377 votes, securing the top position in the legal body.
Narula, who has been practicing law since 1989, unseated the incumbent President Vikas Malik, who finished third with 816 votes. The runner-up, Advocate Ravinder Singh Randhawa, garnered 1,404 votes. The election saw a total of seven candidates vying for the post, with polling taking place throughout the day.
In other key results, Advocate Nilesh Bhardwaj secured the Vice President’s position with 1,501 votes. The roles of Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer were claimed by Advocates Gangandeep Jammu, Bhagyashri Setia, and Harvinder Singh Maan, respectively.
