Supreme Court Amends AOR Exam Cancellation Protocol

In a recent turn of events, the Supreme Court has made alterations to its previous announcement dated 10-06-2024 regarding the cancellation of the Advocates-on-Record Examination. The revised notice clarifies the assessment criteria for candidates who participated via the traditional pen and paper mode for Paper-I, which covers the Practice and Procedure of the Supreme Court, during the examination held on 10-06-2024.

According to the updated directive, candidates who opted for the pen and paper mode will have their assessments based on the answer sheets they submitted. Additionally, it specifies that a fresh examination for Paper-I will be conducted once the Court resumes its sessions after the summer recess. This fresh examination is exclusively for candidates who had initially chosen the Computer Based Test (CBT) format. The date for this reexamination will be communicated in due course.

Candidates wishing to partake in the fresh Paper-I examination are required to submit an option expressing their intent. Only the marks obtained in this fresh examination will be considered for evaluation. It’s important to note that candidates who do not submit their preferences for the reexamination will be evaluated based on their performance in the CBT conducted on 10-06-2024.

The deadline for submitting options for the fresh examination in Paper-I is set for 30-06-2024. Candidates must email their choices to [email protected], providing their name, cell phone number, and the roll number assigned for the ongoing examination.

This modification aims to ensure fairness and clarity in the evaluation process amidst the cancellation and rescheduling of the AOR examination.
