The Supreme Court has turned down a plea from three NEET-PG 2024 candidates who sought to annul the All India Quota (AIQ) Round III counselling and have it conducted again. The petitioners argued that delays in the completion of Madhya Pradesh’s state-level Round II counselling led to seat blocking, putting merit-based candidates at a disadvantage. They claimed that AIQ Round III began before several states had wrapped up their second rounds, allegedly allowing state quota candidates to manipulate seat allocations. However, the court dismissed the request, refusing to intervene in the ongoing admission process.
