A routine court proceeding took a heartbreaking turn on Tuesday when senior lawyer Pasnooru Venugopal Rao suffered a fatal heart attack mid-argument at the Telangana High Court. He was 66.
Rao was presenting his case before Justice Laxmi Narayana Alishetty around 1:20 PM when he suddenly became unwell and collapsed. Fellow advocates rushed to assist, administering CPR before transporting him to Osmania Hospital. However, doctors later pronounced him dead.
A seasoned legal professional, Rao had been practicing at the High Court since 1998. His sudden passing has left the legal community in shock, with colleagues recalling his dedication and expertise in the field.
