United Breweries Limited has tapped Neha Munjral to take charge as Director–Legal starting October 1, 2025, marking a high-profile transition in the company’s leadership ranks.
Munjral steps into the role following the exit of Shelly Kohli, who is moving to Heineken to serve as Regional Legal Director for the Asia-Pacific region.
With more than 17 years navigating multinational corporations and big-ticket legal work in India, Munjral brings heavyweight experience to UBL. At GE Healthcare, she wore multiple hats—General Counsel, Head of CSR for the medical device business in India & South Asia, risk management lead, and board member of GEBEL Private Limited, the joint venture with Bharat Electronics.
Her career also includes a stint as General Counsel at GE Power India Limited, after sharpening her legal skills in the early years at Luthra & Luthra in New Delhi.
An alumna of NLSIU Bangalore (2007) and NYU School of Law, she is known for her sharp command over complex negotiations, compliance frameworks, risk management, and governance strategy.
The UBL Board signed off on her appointment on September 5, 2025, following the nod from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
