The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended that five additional judges serving on the Kerala High Court be appointed as permanent judges.
The recommendation was approved at the Collegium’s meeting held on September 23.
The judges named for permanent appointment are:
- Justice P Krishna Kumar
- Justice KV Jayakumar
- Justice Muralee Krishna S
- Justice Jobin Sebastian
- Justice PV Balakrishnan
The move would formalise their continuation on the Kerala High Court as permanent members of the Bench, subject to the next stages of the judicial appointment process.
The Collegium’s recommendation forms part of the process through which additional judges of High Courts are considered for permanent appointment after their tenure in that capacity.
